My name is Lone (it's Danish, and pronounced "Lona", in case you're wondering about the spelling). When I was a child, I never played with dolls. I just made houses and furniture for them out of cardboard boxes and cereal packets. I even made a stable for My Little Pony out of a polystyrene box! Via various detours, I ended up in a career as a theatre designer, working in London's West End and all over the world. Then 2020 hit, and I was stuck at home with nothing to do. In theatre we build little scale models of the set, which is my favourite part of the job. With that gone, I decided to return to my childhood passion of dollhouses. I use some of the techniques I learned from my theatre model making and hope it will inspire you to try new things. I'm inspired both by my Scandinavian heritage, and the wonderful architecture of my current home town of London - with a little bit of Parisian grandeur thrown in. I hope you like what you see here.
